Huron was hit with a major storm yesterday with high wind causing trees to be uprooted and much damage to roofs and power poles. Many of the poles supplying high voltage power to the substations in town have been broken. At least 1/3 of the city is still without power which is an improvement of the ¾ after the storm. With this storm came rain an inch of rain. Over the night Huron received about an additional ½ of additional rain. The forecast for today and this evening is calling for a 60 to 80 % chance of thunderstorms. It is for this reason we are cancelling the races for Sunday 6-23-2013. We are looking at trying to schedule make up races for next weekend.
